Jeremy Durham is a sports columnist for TriStar Daily and the founder of Five and a Fade.

I’m a sports columnist for TriStar Daily, and this is Five and a Fade: five games I like, one where the crowd is wrong, and a record you can hold me to.

Every Friday you get:

• The college card: five picks against the spread, plus the fade.

• The NFL card: same deal for the weekend’s pro games.

• The Vols pick, from my weekly Tennessee preview column.

• The receipts: every result, good weeks and bad. The full record lives at fiveandafade.com/record.

I first wrote about sports at The Daily Beacon at the University of Tennessee, where I was also government editor. I always wanted to write as a kid, and in fall 2026 I finally picked it back up. By day I run J and J Ventures, a real estate company with properties in four states. I live in Brentwood with my wife, Jessica, and our two boys, and we spend most spring and summer weekends at a ballpark.
